Connecting Concept2

Link your Concept2 Logbook account and sync your workout history.

Connecting

Settings → Concept2 → Connect. Ergon opens the Concept2 Logbook sign-in; authorize, and you're returned to the app with the connection date shown.

Concept2 is a connection, not a login. You need an Ergon account first, and a Concept2 account can only be linked to one Ergon account at a time.

What syncs

  • Workouts — every result in your Logbook: type, date, distance, time, splits and intervals, stroke rate, pace, calories, heart rate, drag factor.
  • Stroke data — fetched per workout the first time you open it, not during the main sync. Older PM results don't always have stroke data; when Concept2 has none, the charts that need it stay hidden.
  • From your Concept2 profile: only your user ID. Ergon does not copy your name, email, photo, or other profile fields — your Ergon profile is yours.

Your first sync pulls full history and shows workouts as they land, so a large Logbook fills in progressively. After that, syncs are incremental — only new or updated results.

When syncs happen

Ergon syncs when you pull to refresh on Home. There is no background sync; if a workout is missing, refresh.

Sync requires no re-login: Ergon refreshes its Concept2 access automatically. If Concept2 revokes the connection (for example after you deauthorize Ergon on their side), the status shows as disconnected and Connect reappears.

Writing back to the Logbook

Not yet. Ergon currently reads from Concept2 only — workouts recorded in Ergon are not uploaded to your Logbook. This is planned, pending Concept2 approval.

Disconnecting

Settings → Concept2 → Disconnect. This removes the link and stored access; workouts already synced stay in Ergon. New Logbook workouts stop flowing in, and stroke data that was never fetched can no longer be pulled. Reconnecting starts a fresh sync.
