Sync troubleshooting

A workout is missing, delayed, or incomplete after a sync.

A workout is on the PM5 but not in Ergon

Ergon syncs from the Concept2 Logbook, not from the erg. A workout reaches the Logbook when ErgData (or the PM5 itself) uploads it. Until that upload happens, there is nothing for Ergon to sync.

Check log.concept2.com: if the workout isn't there, the upload from ErgData is what's missing — open ErgData and let it sync the PM5. Once it's in the Logbook, pull to refresh in Ergon.

To skip this chain entirely, pair the PM5 with Ergon and capture workouts live.

A workout is in the Logbook but not in Ergon

Pull to refresh on Home. Syncs run only when you refresh — there is no background sync.

If refreshing doesn't bring it in, check Settings → Concept2. If it shows Connect instead of Connected, the connection was revoked — reconnect, and the next sync re-pulls what's missing.

A workout shows without its intervals

The Concept2 list endpoint doesn't include per-interval detail; Ergon fetches it the first time you open the workout. Open it once and the interval breakdown fills in.

Stroke charts are empty

Stroke data is fetched per workout when you first view it, and only exists if Concept2 has it. Results uploaded without stroke-level recording have none — Ergon can't backfill what the Logbook doesn't hold.

The same workout appears once, not twice

If you captured a workout live with Ergon and ErgData later uploaded it too, Ergon matches the two on machine, start time, distance, and duration, and merges the Logbook copy into the captured one. That's intended.

Still stuck

Email support@ergon.training with the workout date and roughly what the PM5 showed.
